When we are trying to create something new in your life, patience is often the most difficult part. We are encouraged to “just do it” and follow “linear, logical” steps to achieve what we want.
But creating is much more nuanced than that. And creating what is right for us requires us to listen to our intuition. Following others ways of doing things sometimes works but often does not.
And along the way we may find that we want to adjust our plan and goal. But if we are charging along to a preconceived plan, we may not take the time to listen and hear our intuition.
Our fear of not taking action RIGHT NOW and missing out on opportunities, our fear of not following what appears to be the perfect plan and missing out, our fear that we will be perceived as not committed to our plan, our fear of being seen as lazy or flaky… all of our fears prevent us from hearing the truth and the correct next step.
The most important thing is to listen to ourselves. The world is set up in a particular way but not everyone is suited to “the way”. Sometimes we “seem” to veer off our path for the purpose of learning new things, facing challenges that will strengthen us or to help us confirm that our path IS the correct one for us.
In the end, the journey is as important as achieving the goal.
